Feels Like Home

In the end, it all went pretty fast: Good-byes in Alacati, locking the house, off to the airport with a whooping total of 86kg of combined luggage. It’s more than we had hoped for, but if you consider that 16kg (yes, 16!!!) are taken by Iluka’s homeschooling material… we did the best we could (and might have to loose a book or two along the way). Istanbul–Doha–New Delhi. TV overload for Timoluka. No sleep really. Big surprise when our friend Simone picks us up from the airport. (Mostly because he had just texted before: Tonga will be waiting outside the last exit, just come straight out of the airport to the third lane.). Cheeky Italians…

It’s smoggy and raining in Delhi and the traffic is reminiscent of Istanbul only on the wrong side of the road. “Why do the cars do Tooot Tooot all the time?”, asks Timo. “Why is the driver sitting on the other side?” observes Iluka.
